PARENT-PROVIDER RELATIONSHIP I believe in working together with parents to achieve the most successful child care arrangement for their children. Good communication is the key to success. Parents and providers need to exchange pertinent information about the child’s life including any changes in routine, special events, activities, or significant life changes such as relationships, relocation, etc. This information is important for understanding the child’s feelings and behavior and will help me work towards the overall growth and well-being of the child. CHILD CARE OBJECTIVES To offer a learning environment Learning is not necessarily the ABC’s and 123’s, but also the learning of values. The curriculum balances the actions of play with learning tools like phonics, art work and manipulatives to make learning fun, while achieving individual milestones. I encourage learning values such as honesty, respect, self–reliance, self-discipline, moderation, sensitivity to others, fairness, and kindness. To develop a proper approach to discipline Since children occasionally need discipline, it is important that you and I share a similar philosophy so that your child is not too confused as to where the boundaries are and what is expected of him/her.
